While considered to be a landmark legislation, the deliberations of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) has suffered serious delays in Congress. Since sessions resumed six (6) week ago, the Lower House was hounded with a lack of quorum which affected deliberations, not only of the BBL, but also other legislations.
Affirming its support for the passage of a CAB-compliant BBL, members of the All Out Peace civil society platform, will pass a PEOPLES’ DECLARATION in a PEOPLES’ CONGRESS set for Tuesday, December 15 at the QCMC, Peace Bell area.
GUESTS: Expected to come are former Vice-President Teofisto Guingona, former Senators Aquilino Pimentel, Santanina Rasul and Leticia Ramos-Shahani.
After the People’s Congress, participants will be attending Congress session in the afternoon to witness the deliberations of the BBL and call upon our legislators to not let go of the chance to finally realize sustainable peace and development in Mindanao.
