Meet Harvey Specter’s New Girl on ‘Suits’
Returning this June for its fifth season, “Suits” has cast English actress Christina Cole in the role of a psychiatrist and Harvey Specter’s potential love interest.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Cole will be immediately introduced in the premiere of Season 5 as Dr. Paula Agard, a psychiatrist from Harvard whose specialty is in corporate consulting. The part doesn’t say if the doctor will become Harvey’s own psychiatrist, but the role is a recurring one, and reports indicate that for the most part, Dr. Agard will be playing “a game of cat and mouse” with Harvey.
Best known for her role in the British supernatural series “Hex,” Cole also starred in “Chaos,” “The Assets” and NBC’s miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby,” which “Suit’s” Patrick J. Adams headlined.
Series creator Aaron Korsh said that the upcoming season will also define the complicated relationship between Harvey and Donna.
“Donna leaving Harvey could lay the foundation for them ultimately getting together, or it could lay the foundation for her ultimately moving on and getting with someone else,” said Korsh in the interview with THR.
The log line for the “Suits” Season 5 indicate the following opening premise as published by TV Line:
“In the premiere, Pearson Specter Litt has scored a hard-fought victory, but the fight has left the firm shaken. Although she avoided jail time, Donna has left Harvey after more than a decade of working together. She is now working for his long-time rival Louis. And while Jessica readjusts to being single, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel are giddy after his marriage proposal.”
Suits Season 5 officially returns on USA Network this June 24.
