NBA: Mavs set record 50-point halftime lead over Kawhi-less Clippers [WATCH]

The Dallas Mavericks pounced on a Kawhi Leonard-less Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night, establishing a record in their eventual 124-73 obliteration.
The Mavericks took a commanding 77-27 halftime lead in the contest, an NBA record for biggest lead entering the break.

It broke the previous record of 47 set by the Golden State Warriors against the Sacramento Kings back in 1991, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

The Mavericks also led by as much as 57 points, and maintained a 40-point lead for a stretch of over 30 minutes.

Luka Doncic led Dallas with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in just less than 26 minutes of play. Josh Richardson added 21 points including 4 triples.

The Clippers played without Leonard, who was bloodied from a mouth laceration following an accidental collision with teammate Serge Ibaka in their last game.
