NBA return: Carmelo Anthony hesitant to play in Orlando

Portland Trail Blazers veteran Carmelo Anthony is reportedly thinking twice about playing when the NBA resumes its season on July 31st in Orlando.

The Blazers forward spoke with Ernie Johnson during an online show and revealed that it is not certain he will play come July.

“As far as actually playing and going back down into Orlando, I’m still up in the air a little bit because I really don’t, we don’t have all the details.”

“We don’t know a lot of information, so until we have that, it’s hard to just commit to that 100 percent.”

Portland is currently 9th in the Western Conference standings with a 29-37 record and is just 2.5 games behind a potential playoff spot.

Anthony is averaging 15.3 PPG and 6.3 RPG in 50 games for the Blazers this season.

The 3rd overall pick of the 2003 draft was among NBA players who convened via a conference call, mulling their participation in Orlando where NBA will host the rest of its season when it resumes.
