PBA: Arwind challenges self as San Miguel lifts suspensions

It looks like Arwind Santos’ New Year’s Resolution is to not be involved in any touble.

Challenging himself to stay motivated as the San Miguel Beermen have finally lifted his suspension, Santos has promised to do his best to stay focused on just basketball things for his squad.

Following the intra-squad scuffle that led to suspensions to multiple players last year, Santos said he will use the untimely event as motivation.

“‘Yun ang challenge sa akin for this year, matuto ako. Kailangan mas lalo akong mag-pursigi dahil ‘yun ‘yung goal namin,” said Santos per an online news site.

“Kaya ito, natuto ako at nangako ako rin na hindi na ‘ko gagawa ng kahit anong mga trouble dito.”

The veteran forward has been involved in quite a few extra-curriculars this season; last Commissioner’s Cup, he also apologized after a racist gesture toward then TNT KaTropa import Terrence Jones.

And while controversy seems to be always next to his name, Santos is challenging himself to avoid anything this year.

He added the Beermen will try to make it 6 in a row in the PBA Philippine Cup.

‘Yung mga negative, gawin mong challenge dahil isa yun sa pwedeng mag-push sa ‘yo para mag-prepare ka nang husto, and para abutin ‘yun goal mo,” he declared.
