METROPAC-San Beda College hardly broke a sweat as it dealt Chadao-FEU a harsh 75-51 beating in the 2019 PBA D-League Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig .

The Movers wasted no time imposing its dominance on the Tamaraws by building a 31-11 lead early in the second quarter, which proved to be too insurmountable for the latter to climb back from.

Calvin Oftana paced Metropac-San Beda with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the victory that not only avenged their 77-80 loss to the CEU Scorpions last week but improved their card to 3-1 as well.

James Canlas supplied 15 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals, as Clint Doliguez added 11 markers, four boards, two steals, a dime and a block off the bench.

“Well chinallenge ko lang yung players ko. I told them our character will be tested today. We lost badly to CEU though we came back,” said Movers head coach Boyet Fernandez.

“We know FEU is a strong team. We’re just lucky they probably woke up in the wrong aide of the bed,” he added, as Chadao-FEU shot just a measly 29 percent from the field.

No Tamaraw finished in double figures in the loss that dropped their card to 2-3, with Wendell Comboy already their highest scorer with seven points. Joseph Nunag added six markers.

Ken Tuffin had six points as well, though he sat out the entire second half due to an apparent injury.
