The magic continues for J.K. Rowling and her newest fantasy characters. “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them,” which opened in theaters in Nov. 18, Friday, has now raked a comfortable $75 million debut.

According to Reuters, the Warner Bros movie is riding high and has made such a bold move with its additional installments. The film haven’t even been launched in theaters when the studio agreed it will have five installments in total.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” had an $180 million budget and it is J.K. Rowling’s very first screenplay. It is about a magizoologist who collects different creatures to study them, hence the movie’s title.

“Jo Rowling brilliantly told a story that inspired her fanbase to come out in a big way,” Jeff Goldstein if Warner Bros said in a statement. Though believed to be the prequel to “Harry Potter,” the movie could actually stand on its own and can develop an entirely lucrative franchise.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” also stars Katherina WAterson, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Fine Frenzy, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight and Carmen Ejogo. Johnny Depp figured in the final moments of the movie as well. The actor will be back in the sequel.

The second “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” is expected to hit theaters in 2018. Yet J.K. Rowling is already done with the screenplay, reports reveal. David Yates will also direct all of the succeeding movies to the franchise.
