How a PH Skincare Brand Sold Millions of Units Without Hype

Forget viral dance trends and celebrity endorsements. Dermorepubliq built an empire on ingredient lists and dermatologist-backed formulas — and Filipino consumers are buying it by the millions.

The local skincare brand has quietly become one of the biggest success stories in Philippine beauty retail, posting a 310% year-over-year revenue surge from 2024 to 2025. It remains the top beauty and personal care brand on TikTok Shop Philippines, a title it has held onto through sheer product performance rather than flashy marketing gimmicks.

Dermorepubliq continues expanding its presence through science-backed skincare products and retail growth across the Philippines.

Science-Backed Formulas Are Driving the Numbers

The brand’s growth story centers on two flagship products that lean heavily on substance over spectacle. The 5% Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid Serum has crossed 3 million units sold nationwide on TikTok Shop, while the 7% Glycolic Acid Toner has surpassed 1.5 million units on the same platform.

Combined, those two products account for more than 4.5 million units sold — a number that points to a broader shift in how Filipino shoppers approach skincare. Consumers are increasingly prioritizing dermatologically-tested, accessible formulations for sensitive and acne-prone skin over big-name brand prestige.

“The level of growth we’ve achieved reflects the fundamental shift in how Filipinos approach skincare,” said Keith Sta. Barbara, founder and CEO of Dermorepubliq. “Our goal has always been to make science-backed formulations accessible to those with sensitive skin without breaking the bank. Crossing these unit milestones proves that local consumers value transparency, efficacy, and clinical research above traditional brand prestige.”

That philosophy has translated into hardware, too. Dermorepubliq recently won the Innovative Content Award at the TikTok Shop Summit 2026, adding to a trophy case that already includes the Emerald Award for Top Beauty Brand at the TikTok Shop Annual Awards 2025 and Best Local Hero Campaign at the TikTok Ad Awards 2024.

No Hype, Just a System Built to Scale

The brand’s sustained performance isn’t accidental. Dermorepubliq runs a scaled live-commerce operation backed by an extensive network of affiliate creators, mirroring a broader industry trend in which consumers lean on peer recommendations and real-time product demonstrations instead of traditional advertising.

That community-first approach was on full display at TikTok Beauty Fest 2026, where Dermorepubliq returned to the main stage to lead masterclasses on skin education and showcase local cosmetic research. It’s a strategy built on education and trust rather than one-off viral moments.

The brand isn’t stopping at skincare, either. Dermorepubliq is pushing into the holistic health and wellness space for the second half of 2026 with two new launches: the DermoWhite+ S-Acetyl Glutathione Capsules and DermoSip Collagen Juice.

Physical retail is next on the list. The brand is expanding into select Watsons stores nationwide, along with dedicated kiosks in SM Fairview, SM Masinag, SM Tanza, SM Sta. Mesa, and Riverbanks Center.

Even its marketing wins reflect substance dressed up as spectacle. Dermorepubliq’s viral “breakup” billboard campaign recently earned a Gold Stevie at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, cementing the brand’s place among the fastest-growing local beauty enterprises in Southeast Asia.

Dermorepubliq products are available nationwide in select physical stores, as well as online via TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, and Watsons Online.
