GAC Philippines has officially introduced the 2026 EMZOOM, the latest evolution of its subcompact crossover designed to cater to modern drivers seeking a blend of style, technology, and performance. The updated model brings refreshed exterior styling, upgraded in-cabin technology, and expanded comfort features across its lineup.

The 2026 EMZOOM is offered in two variants, the GB and the R-Style, both powered by a 1.5 TGDI engine paired with a 7-speed wet dual clutch transmission. The system produces 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, positioning the model as a competitive option in the subcompact crossover segment.

Updated design and performance across both variants

The GB variant introduces a refined “Star Diamond” grille design that gives the vehicle a cleaner and more sophisticated appearance suited for everyday use. It also includes convenience-focused features such as auto-sensing windshield wipers, frameless rear wipers, and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto integration.

The R-Style variant focuses on a more aggressive and sporty aesthetic through a Black Edition grille package paired with 18-inch tires. It also enhances comfort and convenience with a ventilated driver seat, fast 50W wireless charging, and a full suite of parking and blind spot assistance technologies.

Technology upgrades and market positioning in the Philippines

The interior of the 2026 EMZOOM receives a significant technology upgrade centered on a larger multifunction touchscreen display with improved smartphone connectivity. Higher trims add features such as ventilated seating, wireless charging, and advanced driver assistance systems that improve both safety and usability.

GAC Philippines highlighted that the EMZOOM nameplate has already established strong market performance locally, with over 8,000 units previously sold in the country. The latest updates aim to strengthen its position in the highly competitive subcompact crossover segment.

GAC International Senior Vice President Steven Wang described the model as a key part of the brand’s Philippine lineup, emphasizing its focus on refined quality, performance, and long-term customer support.
