Engineering Congress 2026 returns with seminar and career expo
The Engineering Congress returns this February with its annual two-day event, designed to equip engineering students with knowledge and career opportunities. The program includes the Engineering Seminar and Career Expo, both scheduled for February 28, the first day of the congress.
Organized by the Civil Engineering Executive Organization (CEO) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, the event aims to showcase innovative solutions and prepare students for the challenges of the modern engineering landscape. The congress also emphasizes the responsibility of future engineers in building resilient and sustainable communities.

Seminar focuses on disaster-ready, sustainable engineering
This year’s theme, “Built to Withstand: Advancing Sustainable and Climate-Adaptive for a Disaster-Ready Nation,” highlights strategies engineers can use to mitigate the effects of natural disasters. The Engineering Seminar will feature experts sharing insights on climate-adaptive techniques, sustainable practices, and resilience planning.
Participants will gain practical knowledge that can be applied in real-world engineering projects, from designing earthquake-resistant structures to flood mitigation systems. The seminar reinforces CEO’s mission to develop engineers capable of addressing both present and future societal challenges.
Career Expo connects students with industry opportunities
The Career Expo offers a platform for students to explore potential employers, internships, and professional collaborations. Companies and institutions will engage with participants, providing guidance and showcasing career pathways in various engineering fields.
Attendees can learn about current trends, industry standards, and practical applications of their academic training. The expo encourages networking and innovation, giving students the tools to turn their ideas into actionable solutions.
