Disney+ Philippines to stream live NBA games under new multi-year deal
Filipino fans will soon enjoy live NBA action on Disney+ Philippines after The Walt Disney Company and ESPN expanded their global partnership with the league through a new multi-year agreement announced. The deal brings comprehensive NBA programming to the platform for the first time, offering viewers an extensive lineup of live games, signature events and award-winning content.
Starting with the NBA doubleheader on Thursday, November 20 (Philippine Standard Time) — Houston Rockets at Cleveland Cavaliers at 0812 hrs and New York Knicks at Dallas Mavericks at 1035 hrs — subscribers can stream select regular season and playoff matchups. The package also includes major league events such as NBA on Christmas Day, the NBA Draft, the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and select NBA Summer League games.
Fans can also access one NBA Conference Finals series live each season, with the other Conference Finals series and the NBA Finals made available on delay. Beyond live games, Disney+ Philippines will feature ESPN’s acclaimed documentaries, live broadcasts of NBA Countdown and NBA Tip-Off, and coverage from Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley on the Emmy Award–winning Inside the NBA.

Disney expands live sports access in the Philippines
Vineet Puri, Vice President and General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, said the partnership reinforces the deep connection between Filipinos and the sport. He noted that basketball has long served as a unifying force in the country and that Disney+ aims to elevate the fan experience by making NBA programming more accessible.
Kelly Cooke, Head of Content Partnerships and DTC for NBA Asia, highlighted that the collaboration gives fans more convenient ways to follow the league across the devices and platforms they use every day. She added that the deal arrives at an ideal time, as Filipino interest in the NBA continues to surge.
Disney+ builds on its entertainment library
Alongside NBA coverage, subscribers can continue to enjoy a wide range of titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Hulu on the platform. The library includes blockbuster films such as Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, as well as new Korean releases including Tempest and The Manipulated. General entertainment hits like Shōgun, The Bear, Grey’s Anatomy, Abbott Elementary, High Potential and The Simpsons also headline the slate.
