SHFC announces one-month moratorium for typhoon-affected homeowners
The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) is offering a one-month moratorium on housing amortization for homeowners affected by Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan. The move gives families time to recover from the storms and reduces immediate financial pressure.
President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., and DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling directed SHFC to provide fast, practical relief to communities hardest hit by the back-to-back typhoons.

Homeowners in communities impacted by Typhoon Tino will have the moratorium from November 4 to December 3. Covered regions include:
-
MIMAROPA (IV-B)
-

-

SHFC support and guidance
SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa said the moratorium is part of the agency’s effort to support disaster-hit families. “Homeowners can rely on SHFC for assistance in times of calamity,” he said.
The agency continues coordinating with local governments and partner organizations to help communities recover. Affected members should reach out to their local SHFC offices for guidance.
