Mind S-Cool TV season 7 enters Barangay Komplikado with six very important problems
Mind S-Cool TV is set to premiere its seventh season with a bold transformation that mirrors today’s most pressing concerns. Titled Barangay Komplikado, the new season introduces viewers to a neighborhood where six characters, known as Very Important Problems or VIPs, personify urgent global challenges.
The climate crisis takes shape as Klima. Sari mourns the loss of wildlife and biodiversity. Susi pushes for a deeper understanding of sustainability. Unos storms in as a symbol of the increasing severity of disasters. Hilom points the way to resilience and healing. And Bukas, the most elusive of all, represents the uncertain future shaped by choices made today.
Adventures with the Questers
In Barangay Komplikado, each VIP claims to be the most urgent problem, leaving residents overwhelmed and unsure where to focus. To guide them, Manong G—the guardian of knowledge—enlists the Questers: Mikee, Pecier, Mario, and Megan. Together, they take on challenges designed by each VIP, uncovering the complex realities behind the issues.
Along the way, the Questers meet characters from the community who help them explore creative solutions. The adventures highlight how each problem cannot be solved in isolation, revealing how interconnected the challenges truly are.
Building a path to the future
The season culminates with Bukas, where everything the Questers have learned from Klima, Sari, Susi, Unos, and Hilom comes together. The journey underscores that the key to securing a better future lies in the values chosen today and the actions taken collectively.
Mind S-Cool TV season 7 is produced by the Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc. in partnership with the Center for Conservation Innovations PH Inc., with support from the Mindoro Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Programme and the Government of Canada. The premiere airs on September 28 at 10 a.m. on Cignal TV’s One PH channel 1, with streaming available on the Mind S-Cool YouTube channel.
