MPT South is forecasting a remarkable 30% traffic growth by 2025, projecting to serve over 340,000 motorists daily, up from the current 259,815. This surge is driven by the completion of critical segments of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and CAVITEX C5 Link, which will be highlighted during the Biyaheng South Experiential Tour 2024.

Key developments include the CALAX Governor’s Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit Interchanges, alongside the C5 Link Segment 3B connecting the Sucat Interchange to the C5 Link Flyover Extension. These projects, set to open commercially by the end of 2025, will expand MPT South’s network to 67 km, improving travel time and accessibility for Southern Luzon motorists.

“MPT South’s expressway expansions aim to not only enhance the driving experience but also contribute to regional economic development,” said MPT South President and General Manager, Mr. Raul L. Ignacio. With a Php14 billion capital expenditure plan for 2025, MPT South is dedicated to delivering these vital infrastructure projects despite ongoing challenges.

The Biyaheng South Experiential Tour 2024 will provide motorists with a first-hand look at these upcoming improvements, which promise to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and boost economic growth across key industrial and commercial hubs in the region.
