Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch Turns Teamwork Into a Fight for Survival on Nintendo Switch 2
Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch asks two players to escape a sinister house by trusting each other’s eyes instead of their own. The two-player horror game launched Oct. 22 on Nintendo Switch 2, with Q-Games publishing it for Asia.
Atlantis Studio, an independent studio in Avignon, France, developed the game, while Kyoto-based Q-Games is the Asia publisher. A launch contest, the Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch World Championship, offers a trip to Scotland as its prize.

Asymmetric Co-op Horror Game: How the Explorer and Overseer Roles Work
One player is the Explorer, who enters the House in first person to search for clues, solve mysteries and escape before the Gloam finds them. The other is the Overseer, who stays behind the cameras.
The Overseer uses surveillance systems, documents and tactical tools to track events and guide the partner. Communication is essential, so players must share information and coordinate actions to find a way out.
The game supports couch co-op, GameShare, Local Network and online play. According to the publisher, GameShare lets two players team up even if the other console is a Nintendo Switch 2 or a Nintendo Switch.
Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch World Championship Offers an Edinburgh Trip
Atlantis Studio is hosting the contest from Oct. 22 to Nov. 2, 2026. Pairs must livestream their full playthrough on Twitch until they finish the game, then email their highest score and stream archive to the designated address.
The winning team gets a trip for two to Edinburgh, Scotland, with five nights of hotel accommodations and round-trip transportation. The total prize value is up to €4,500.
Entry is free for eligible participants 18 or older who live in participating territories. Full rules and eligibility requirements are posted on the Q-Games Discord server.
Q-Games also unveiled three Japan-exclusive, cinematic-style posters featuring the Gloam, the game’s mysterious entity. The images are available for free use.
The game is priced at PHP 799 in the Philippines, JPY 2,480 in Japan and SGD 21.99 in Singapore. Prices are listed in local currencies on Nintendo Store pages across Asia.
