GAC’s New MPV Family Has a Ride for Every Lifestyle

Whether it’s the daily school run, a weekend family road trip or a chauffeured business meeting, GAC Philippines is betting that Filipino buyers no longer want a one-size-fits-all family vehicle. The brand has officially launched three new multi-purpose vehicles — the All-New GAC GN6, GAC E8 HEV and GAC GN8 PHEV Executive — forming what it calls the GAC MPV Family, a purpose-built lineup engineered to deliver distinct, tailor-made comfort experiences for every user and every journey.

Rather than releasing a single do-it-all model, GAC is moving beyond traditional single-category boundaries to embrace what it describes as the true definition of a multi-purpose vehicle, offering versatile mobility solutions for executive transit, premium passenger travel and dynamic personal lifestyles, all under one lineup.

Three Models, One Philosophy: Comfort Starts With Confidence

GAC refers to the trio as its “MPV MVPs,” a nod to the company’s established expertise and leadership in the segment. The lineup is built around real user needs, backed by more than 880,000 units delivered globally; engineered for comfort, grounded in over a decade of dedicated MPV development; and built on trust, reflected in industry-leading residual value and a strong quality, durability and reliability foundation.

At the center of the family sits a single guiding principle: True comfort begins with confidence. That philosophy rests on three pillars — flexible space, with intelligently engineered cabin layouts that adapt to diverse passenger and cargo needs; thoughtful engineering, featuring purposeful and often invisible technologies designed around real-world use; and reliable performance, delivering benchmark quality and powertrain efficiency for peace of mind on every road.

“The official launch of the GAC MPV Family marks an important milestone in the continued growth of GAC Philippines,” said Calvin Cheng, general manager of GAC Philippines. “With three distinct models, we are bringing Filipino customers a complete MPV lineup that can serve their changing needs, from flexible daily transit to premium travel and executive mobility. This reflects our long-term commitment to offer vehicles for every user and every journey.”

Masato Katsumata, chief technology officer of GAC International, echoed that sentiment, framing the lineup as a response to how people actually live. “An MPV must do more than provide additional seating. It must be engineered around the people who use it, taking into account their comfort, safety, changing needs, and the many different journeys they take,” Katsumata said. “With the All-New GN6, E8 HEV, and GN8 PHEV Executive, GAC brings together more than a decade of specialized MPV excellence to offer Filipino customers a clear choice tailored to their specific comfort expectations.”

At the top of the lineup sits the GAC GN8 PHEV Executive, a full-size, seven-seat flagship built for executive chauffeuring, VIP travel and flagship family comfort. It combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle engine with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor for a combined 373 HP and 630 Nm of torque, plus a 25.5 kWh battery offering up to 120 kilometers of electric range and a total combined range of up to 1,038 kilometers. Its cabin functions as a private lounge or mobile boardroom, complete with a 16-speaker audio system, a fragrance system and a starlight panoramic roof. GAC Philippines is also extending its presence beyond the showroom through a new sports marketing partnership with Cignal TV and TV5, connecting its vehicle lineup with fans of the PBA Governors’ Cup, the Premier Volleyball League and UAAP Season 89 Men’s Basketball. The push comes as GAC Group celebrates a historic global milestone of its own, having surpassed 30 million cumulative vehicles produced and sold worldwide.
