GAC International Philippines marked a major milestone in its electrification strategy with the official launch of new hybrid electric vehicles at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. Leading the showcase was the debut of the GS8 HEV, alongside previews and displays of multiple electrified and performance models.

The event also featured the E8 HEV preview and the return of the 2026 EMZOOM, while official pricing was revealed for the GN8 PHEV. These additions highlight the brand’s push toward expanding its hybrid electric vehicles lineup in the Philippine market.

GAC executives emphasized their commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that combine performance, sustainability, and modern design. The showcase reflects a broader effort to position the brand at the forefront of electrified transportation in the region.

GS8 HEV leads hybrid electric vehicles lineup

The GS8 HEV introduces a hybrid SUV designed for both urban and off-road driving, combining power and efficiency. It features a 2.0T Mega Wave engine paired with a fourth-generation hybrid system, delivering strong performance with a refined driving experience.

The model also integrates an intelligent all-wheel-drive system and multiple driving modes, allowing it to adapt to different road conditions. Inside, the vehicle offers a spacious cabin with premium materials, advanced infotainment, and comfort-focused features.

Safety and technology are key highlights, with advanced driver assistance systems and a 540-degree surround view camera enhancing driver awareness. These features position the GS8 HEV as a competitive entry in the growing hybrid electric vehicles segment.

Expanded electrified lineup at MIAS 2026

Beyond the GS8 HEV, GAC showcased a broader range of hybrid electric vehicles and electric models. The GN8 PHEV offers a luxury MPV experience with extended driving range and premium interior features designed for comfort and performance.

The E8 HEV provides a family-oriented hybrid option with long-range capability and flexible interior space. Meanwhile, the HYPTEC HT and AION V strengthen the brand’s electric vehicle lineup, offering long driving ranges and fast-charging capabilities.
