A new unusual fetishes report released in January 2026 is shedding light on how niche adult interests vary across the United States. The data, compiled using browsing statistics from Clips4Sale, ranks all 50 states based on per-capita engagement with less conventional categories.

According to the unusual fetishes report, Massachusetts tops the national list when population-adjusted viewing patterns are analyzed. Researchers normalized annual visit totals to ensure fair comparisons between large and small states.

The unusual fetishes report shows more than 70,000 yearly visits from Massachusetts residents in the tickling category alone. Another 33,000-plus visits were recorded in the flatulence-related category, while thousands more browsed content tied to belly button themes and bi-curious fantasy scenarios.

New York ranks second in the unusual fetishes report, generating the largest raw traffic numbers overall. Tickling-related content alone drew nearly 185,000 visits from the state, while other niche categories such as bad breath and teeth-themed videos also logged notable engagement.

Rhode Island, New Jersey and Delaware complete the top five in the unusual fetishes report, reinforcing a clear regional pattern. The Northeast consistently dominates per-capita rankings, suggesting geographic clustering in interest toward niche categories.

Regional patterns highlight Northeastern dominance

The unusual fetishes report highlights how Northeastern states outperform the rest of the country in normalized viewing rates. Rhode Island, despite its small population, posted strong engagement in tickling and flatulence-themed categories, while also standing out in lesser-known niche interests.

New Jersey recorded more than 70,000 annual visits to tickling-related videos, nearly matching Massachusetts in raw totals. Delaware also placed high in per-capita engagement, particularly in bi-curious and belly-button-focused categories.

Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Hampshire followed closely behind, while Maryland and Illinois rounded out the top ten. The unusual fetishes report indicates that while large states generate more total visits, smaller Northeastern states often lead once population is factored in.

Data reveals privacy-driven exploration

The unusual fetishes report was based on yearly state-level browsing data from Clips4Sale, one of the largest adult content platforms globally. Researchers examined visit totals in categories considered outside mainstream adult genres and adjusted figures per 10,000 residents.

Massachusetts recorded 185 unusual fetish category visits per 10,000 residents, the highest in the country. New York produced the highest raw numbers, but ranked second once adjusted for population size.

Clips4Sale spokesperson Avery Martin addressed the findings, noting that private browsing habits often differ from public conversations.

“These stats might surprise people, but that’s only because we don’t talk openly about sex. When you ask Americans privately through anonymous surveys, about six out of every ten admit they have at least one kink or unusual sexual interest. The internet allows people to explore privately without social pressure,” Martin said.

The unusual fetishes report ultimately reflects broader digital behavior trends: anonymous online spaces allow Americans to explore niche interests more freely, and in 2026, the Northeast appears to be leading that trend.
