Games for Change debuts in London with summit at London Games Festival

Games for Change (G4C), a global organisation promoting social impact through games, will hold its first UK event in London on Thursday, April 15, 2026. The Games for Change London Summit will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge. The summit is part of London Games Festival, which runs from Monday, April 13, to Sunday, April 19, 2026.

George E. Osborn, editor of Video Games Industry Memo, will curate the summit and lead discussions on gaming’s role in driving real-world change. The event will feature talks, panels, and roundtables for developers, educators, and innovators. Attendees will explore how games can inspire positive change in communities and education.

Games for Change has spent more than 20 years supporting creators, educators, and social innovators worldwide. Its flagship festival in New York City has inspired international chapters across six continents. The London summit marks the organisation’s first event in the United Kingdom.

Advisory board guides summit

The summit’s agenda is supported by a dedicated advisory board composed of long-term contributors to Games for Change. Members include Jude Ower MBE of Planet Play, James Delaney of Blockworks, Sarah Ticho of Hatsumi and XR Health Alliance, Phil Stuart of PRELOADED, and Deborah Mensah-Bonsu of Supercell.

Michael French MBE, Director of London Games Festival, said hosting G4C reflects London’s role as a global hub for creativity and game development. “This is a landmark moment for the festival and the UK games industry,” he said. Susanna Pollack, President of Games for Change, added that London provides a unique platform to connect local talent with the global community and create meaningful collaborations.
