PFL inks groundbreaking broadcast deal with Migu to expand MMA reach in China

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has secured a major media rights agreement with Migu, China’s largest sports content platform. The partnership will bring 24 live PFL events, original programming, and archival content to fans across the region, marking a significant step in the league’s international expansion.

Under the agreement, Migu subscribers will have access to the full 16 PFL global events in 2026, starting with PFL Road to Dubai on February 7. This event will feature a highly anticipated matchup between Lightweight Champion Usman Nurmagomedov and 2025 Lightweight World Tournament Champion Alfie Davis. Additional global stops include PFL Madrid, PFL Pittsburgh, and PFL Chicago, complemented by eight international events across MENA and Africa.

Expanding MMA’s Reach in China

Migu Video, China’s top sports content service, offers live broadcasts, high-quality films, variety shows, and interactive content. Its platform has streamed over 9,000 sports events annually, leveraging AI technology and ultra-HD viewing. The PFL will benefit from Migu’s digital reach through a dedicated channel page with localized content, live updates, interactive features, and multi-angle viewing options.

The collaboration positions PFL alongside premier Migu partners, including the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, EPL, LaLiga, NBA, and UFC. Fans in China will now have a comprehensive platform to follow the league’s top athletes, storylines, and global events.

Leadership Sees Global Growth

PFL CEO John Martin emphasized the partnership’s significance for expanding MMA’s presence in China. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to showcasing elite MMA talent to a rapidly growing and passionate fanbase,” Martin said. He added that Migu’s innovation and audience reach will enhance storytelling and engagement for fans in the region.

A Migu representative echoed the sentiment, stating, “We are building a home for Chinese MMA fans and are excited to deliver the highest-quality viewing experience for PFL events.” The partnership is expected to strengthen the PFL’s international footprint while providing Chinese audiences with unprecedented access to live mixed martial arts action.
