XG officially steps into a bold new era with the release of their first full-length album, “THE CORE – 核”, out today. The 10-track album, which includes previously released hits like “GALA” and “4 SEASONS”, represents a defining milestone in the group’s evolution, marking their transition from Xtraordinary Girls to Xtraordinary Genes. With the lead single “HYPNOTIZE” debuting alongside the official music video, XG sets the stage for a fully immersive musical and visual experience.

The album’s lead track, “HYPNOTIZE”, blends ethereal house-driven soundscapes with intricate piano lines, weaving a hypnotic narrative that oscillates between reality and dreamlike states. The track serves as a conceptual and sonic entry point into “THE CORE – 核”, drawing listeners to the very heart of the album’s essence.

Immersive visuals deepen the album experience

The accompanying music video for “HYPNOTIZE” visualizes XG’s internal universe, using the deep sea as a metaphor for hidden, unreachable realms. This aquatic landscape mirrors the sense of the unknown the group explored in prior space-themed concepts while emphasizing the essential qualities at the core of their artistic identity. Spiral motifs and layered underwater imagery amplify the hypnotic, cinematic atmosphere, pulling viewers deeper into the music and the conceptual world of the album.

Earlier today, XG made their first live performance of “HYPNOTIZE” on Korea’s renowned program MUSIC BANK, captivating audiences with their stage presence and signaling the arrival of this new chapter.

Global ambitions and new milestones

With “THE CORE – 核”, XG sharpens their identity and establishes a trajectory for international growth. On 18 January, the group was named an official ambassador for the FIFA World Cup Japan, highlighting their expanding global presence. This momentum continues with the announcement of XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, kicking off with three shows at K-Arena Yokohama on 6 February. The tour will span Japan, Asia, North America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and Latin America, underscoring XG’s worldwide ascent.
