Garmin launches Approach R50 premium golf simulator for year-round play
Garmin has unveiled the Approach R50, a premium launch monitor and golf simulator designed for golfers who want to practice or play full rounds all year. The device features a 10” color touchscreen and comes preloaded with over 43,000 courses worldwide. Its advanced three-camera system tracks more than 15 ball and club metrics, from spin rate to launch angle, while capturing high-speed impact videos for every shot.
Designed for golfers of all levels, the Approach R50 delivers precise analytics for each club in the bag, including drivers and putters. Players can review swing details, monitor improvement over time, and elevate their game with data-driven insights.
Play anytime, anywhere with virtual rounds
Weather disruptions are no longer a problem. The Approach R50 and indoor setup allow golfers to play virtual rounds from the comfort of home, a garage, basement, or driving range. Through the enhanced Home Tee Hero simulator, users can enjoy multiplayer rounds with up to four players and participate in weekly tournaments with scores shared on a global leaderboard.
For an immersive experience, the Approach R50 can connect to external monitors or projectors via HDMI. Golfers can mirror the display for a larger view of the course while simultaneously reviewing shot metrics or impact videos on the device itself. The portable design also allows the Approach R50 to function independently as a simulator.
