Mobile-first coverage for a new generation

The broadcast package features all group-stage matches involving national teams from Orange affiliate countries. It also includes selected knockout fixtures from the round of 16 and quarterfinals, one semifinal, the third-place match and the final.

Orange said the selection ensures balanced tournament coverage while remaining tailored to mobile usage patterns. The strategy is designed to deliver African football in a format that fits how fans now consume live sports.

Matches will be delivered through Max it TV, the entertainment hub within Orange’s all-in-one super app. The platform integrates telecom services, financial tools and digital content into a single user experience.

Max it TV strengthens digital ambition

Beyond live match streaming, Orange will roll out original pre-game and post-game programming produced by dedicated editorial and production teams. These shows aim to provide deeper context, analysis and storytelling around the tournament.

The broadcasts will be powered by an end-to-end low-latency infrastructure built to ensure smooth, stable and near-live viewing. Orange said this technical backbone is critical to delivering premium sports content on mobile devices.

OMEA CEO Yasser Shaker said the partnership goes beyond football rights. He described the initiative as part of Orange’s broader digital vision to unite communities through shared sporting experiences.

Shaker emphasized that football remains a powerful cultural force across Africa, and that Max it is designed to bring fans closer to the action while celebrating African talent, passion and identity.

With the agreement, Orange reinforces its role in Africa’s digital transformation and the distribution of premium local content. By placing AFCON Morocco 2025 at the center of its mobile ecosystem, OMEA aims to position Max it as a pan-African reference point for sports and entertainment.
