Gibson Gives marks record-breaking year of global music philanthropy in 2025
Gibson, one of the most recognizable names in musical instruments, capped off 2025 with a landmark year of charitable impact through its nonprofit arm, Gibson Gives. The milestone year reinforced the brand’s mission to use music as a force for education, healing, and opportunity across the globe.
Through a combination of instrument donations, grants, and partnerships, Gibson Gives broadened access to music while supporting health and wellness programs that uplift communities. The foundation’s initiatives continued to focus on inspiring the next generation by placing instruments and resources directly into the hands of young people.
Erica Krusen, global executive director of Gibson Gives, said the results showed what is possible when creativity and compassion align. She credited artists, partners, and supporters for helping transform generosity into tangible action that created lasting impact worldwide.

Guitars and funding reach new heights
During 2025, Gibson Gives distributed 2,445 guitars, pushing the foundation’s lifetime total beyond 16,000 instruments shared with communities in need. These donations helped schools, nonprofits, and music programs expand their reach and keep education accessible.
Financial support also surged, with more than $5.3 million generated through product donations and strategic giving. Donated instruments alone carried a retail value of nearly $2.49 million for the year, reinforcing the scale of the organization’s commitment.
Beyond products, Gibson Gives awarded over $401,000 in direct cash grants and supported 301 partner organizations around the world. The funding enabled local groups to sustain programs centered on music education, recovery, and youth development.
Scholarships strengthen global music education
Investment in future musicians remained a priority as scholarship support expanded in 2025. Gibson Gives awarded 27 scholarships totaling $139,000, helping students pursue formal training and professional development in music.
These scholarships complemented the foundation’s broader education efforts, ensuring that talent and passion, rather than financial barriers, determine access to opportunity. The continued growth of the program highlighted Gibson Gives’ long-term vision for nurturing musicians worldwide.
As 2025 closed, Gibson and Gibson Gives positioned themselves as leaders in global music philanthropy. The record year underscored how instruments, education, and purposeful giving can combine to create meaningful change through the universal language of music.
