Toyota Philippines set to launch all-new GR Corolla
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will launch the all-new GR Corolla on December 23, marking the start of retail sales. The GR Corolla joins TMP’s Gazoo Racing (GR) Performance lineup, which includes the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR 86.
Known for competing in motorsports events like Formula D, the 24 Hours of Fuji, and the British Touring Car Championship, the GR Corolla is engineered for high performance. Its rally-inspired design enhances handling across varied driving conditions, from circuits to endurance racing.
Performance and design for everyday thrills
The five-seater GR Corolla adapts to both city trips and track days with multiple drive modes—Normal, Eco, Sport, Gravel, and Track. Its five-door layout allows easy access for passengers, while the spacious rear seats ensure comfort during rides.
The GR Corolla features an aerodynamic silhouette, 18-inch 235/40 aluminum wheels, Bi-LED headlights with manual leveling, LED daytime running lamps, and a rear spoiler. Functional air vents, a triple exhaust, and a diffuser improve performance and stability.
Power, interior, and safety technology
Under the hood, the GR Corolla has a 1.6L turbocharged G16E-GTS 3-cylinder engine, producing 300 PS and 400 Nm of torque at 3,250–4,600 rpm. It is equipped with MacPherson struts with coil springs in the front and double wishbone suspension in the rear. All-wheel drive provides superior traction.
The interior is driver-focused, with a 12.3-inch Multi Info Display, Head-up Display, synthetic leather and suede 6-way manual sport seats, and a 7-inch Display Audio system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Boot space is designed to accommodate cargo efficiently.
Safety features include Toyota Safety Sense with Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist, and Lane Departure Alert. The A/T variant adds Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, while the M/T variant comes with Adaptive Cruise Control.
The GR Corolla is offered in two variants: the 8-speed 1.6L Turbo A/T at PHP 3,955,000 and the 6-speed 1.6L Turbo M/T at PHP 3,811,000. Color options are Emotional Red, Precious Metal, Black, and Super White.
