Following family footsteps

“I learned growing up that hard work pays off,” Abigania said. “I heard stories from my relatives in the Navy and knew it would be challenging, but I was driven to learn and succeed.”

Abigania carries on a family legacy in the military, choosing to follow in the footsteps of relatives who served before him.

Serving with HSC 21

The “Blackjacks” of HSC 21 operate and maintain the MH-60S Sea Hawk, the Navy’s most advanced rotary-wing maritime platform. Their missions include Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW), combat logistics, and medical evacuations (Medevac).

Abigania’s role as a logistics specialist is critical to mission success, ensuring the squadron operates efficiently and effectively during complex maritime operations.
