Luneta to feature Marine Corps guard ritual and youth drill team performance
Rizal Park will stage a public program that brings together ceremonial tradition and youth participation in a two-part exhibition organized by the National Parks Development Committee. The afternoon activity puts discipline and coordinated performance at the center of a community setting.
The NPDC designed the program as an accessible event for park visitors who rarely see these routines outside formal venues. Officials said the lineup reflects both heritage practices and the steady involvement of student groups in ceremonial exhibitions.

The program takes place on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, with activities beginning at 4:00 PM at the Rizal Monument. Both segments are free to attend and open to all ages.
Marine Corps guards to lead afternoon program
The Philippine Marine Corps will open the event with the Changing of the Guard, a long-standing ritual associated with national heritage spaces. The routine highlights slow, precise transitions that symbolize vigilance and respect for the monument it protects.
Visitors regularly gather at the site to witness the ceremony, but Sunday’s version anchors a broader program meant to highlight discipline across different groups.

Silent drill team to present synchronized routine
After the monument segment, the Divine Word College of Valenzuela – Class of Mandala 2025-2026 will take their position at Lawn A for a silent drill performance. The cadets will execute a sequence of coordinated movements without verbal commands, emphasizing timing, teamwork, and practiced precision.
NPDC organizers said the combination of a military ritual and a youth exhibition underscores how ceremonial discipline continues to be taught and adopted in various institutions. They added that presenting both routines in a public space reinforces Luneta’s role as a venue for civic and heritage-focused programs.
