SLASH releases live album and concert film from S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival

SLASH has officially released Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, a live album and concert film capturing his electrifying performance at the Mission Ballroom in Denver during the inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Blues tour in July 2024.

The project features SLASH and his Blues Ball band delivering raw, powerful blues, blending grit, soul, and reverence for the legends who shaped rock history. Behind-the-scenes interviews showcase SLASH reflecting on his lifelong connection to the blues.

The live album and concert film are now available worldwide in multiple formats: 2CD+DVD Digipak, 2CD+Blu-ray Digipak, and Heavyweight Black 3LP Gatefold, alongside digital rental and purchase options on Amazon Prime Video and AppleTV.

Classic blues meets original power

SLASH’s Blues Ball includes Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis on keyboards, harmonica, and vocals; Tash Neal on rhythm guitar and vocals; Johnny Griparic on bass; and Michael Jerome on drums. The band performs blues staples and rock classics, honoring artists such as Bukka White, Howlin’ Wolf, Booker T. & the MG’s, Fleetwood Mac, and Robert Johnson, while debuting SLASH’s original track “Metal Chestnut.”

The setlist includes “Parchman Farm Blues,” “Killing Floor,” “Born Under a Bad Sign,” “Oh Well,” “Big Legged Woman,” “Key to the Highway,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” “Stormy Monday,” “The Pusher,” “Cross Road Blues,” and “Stone Free,” with encores “It Takes a Lot to Laugh,” “It Takes a Train to Cry,” and “Shake Your Money Maker.”

Social impact and ongoing legacy

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, acronym for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance, combined music and social impact, raising over $125,000 for nonprofits supporting mental health, equality, and justice. The festival celebrated SLASH’s critically acclaimed sixth solo album, Orgy of the Damned, which spent 13 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart.

Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival reinforces SLASH’s position as a leading guitarist and torchbearer for the blues, bringing his music to audiences worldwide.
