WeRide becomes first dual-listed Robotaxi leader on HKEX and Nasdaq with HKD 2.39B debut
WeRide achieved a historic milestone as the world’s first Robotaxi and autonomous driving technology company to secure a dual primary listing on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX: 0800.HK) and Nasdaq (WRD). The company issued 88.25 million shares at HKD 27.1 each, raising approximately HKD 2.39 billion to accelerate global deployment of its autonomous vehicle fleet and deepen investment in advanced driving technologies.
The listing marks a strategic leap as WeRide continues expanding commercial operations across key global markets. With approvals in seven countries and deployments in more than 30 cities across 11 nations, the company now operates the largest commercial Robotaxi fleet outside China and the United States through partnerships including Uber in Abu Dhabi.

Tony Han commits to long-term vision and global scale
Founder and CEO Dr. Tony Han reinforced WeRide’s confidence in long-term growth by committing to a three-year lock-up, demonstrating firm conviction in the company’s fundamentals and worldwide expansion strategy. He highlighted the company’s evolution from technology pioneer to global commercial operator and reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable mobility innovation.
Founded in 2017, WeRide listed on Nasdaq in October 2024 as the first publicly traded universal autonomous driving platform. Its dual listing bolsters capital access, supporting R&D for its WeRide One platform and scaling its Level 2 to Level 4 product ecosystem including Robotaxis, Robobuses, Robosweepers, Robovans and ADAS solutions.
Industry leadership and global momentum
Powered by the WeRide GENESIS simulation platform, the company has lowered testing costs and accelerated market readiness, securing a first-mover advantage in markets like the Middle East and Singapore. In Europe, WeRide remains the only L4 fleet operator in France, Switzerland, and Belgium.
WeRide also deepens global partnerships with mobility and technology leaders including Bosch, NVIDIA, Grab, Uber and Renault-Nissan. Its ADAS partnership with Bosch will enter mass production in 2025, further advancing its end-to-end autonomous capabilities.
Recognized twice on Fortune’s Change the World list and Global Future 50, WeRide ranks among the top technology innovators reshaping global transportation. With more than 1,500 L4 vehicles and plans to deploy tens of thousands of Robotaxis by 2030, the company aims to redefine urban mobility through safety, efficiency and sustainability.
