City begins cleanup and repair ahead of Undas

Pre-Undas operations are already underway. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has conducted flushing operations to clean major roads and cemetery surroundings. The Community Affairs and Development Office (CADO) and the Environmental Sanitation Center (ESC) led cleanup drives to clear pathways and remove obstructions.

The Engineering Department also repainted and repaired facilities in public cemeteries to make sure that the areas are safe and welcoming for visitors.

The Muntinlupa City Public Cemetery will be open from October 31 to November 2, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Grave cleaning and repainting will be allowed until October 28. No burials or cremations will be scheduled from October 31 to November 2. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed entry.

Guidelines set for peace and order during Undas

To keep order and maintain a peaceful atmosphere, the city has issued several reminders for visitors. The following are strictly prohibited: gambling, alcoholic drinks, sharp objects, videoke or loud sound systems, and parking or driving vehicles inside cemetery grounds. Selling goods within or near cemetery areas is also not allowed.

City personnel will be deployed across cemeteries to assist the public and monitor compliance with safety protocols. The local government is calling on residents to cooperate and follow all guidelines to ensure a peaceful and dignified observance of Undas.
