Muntinlupa City continues to uphold its reputation for good governance, earning a spot as the Top 8 City in the Philippines for Total Current Operating Expenditures (TCOE) per Capita for Fiscal Year 2024.

The Department of Finance – Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF–BLGF) recognized Muntinlupa’s outstanding performance, affirming the city’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and people-centered financial management.

Discipline and purpose in public service

Mayor Ruffy Biazon expressed pride in the recognition, emphasizing the city’s practical and results-driven approach to governance.
“Hindi kailangang magarbo ang pamahalaan para maging epektibo. Sa Muntinlupa, bawat pisong pondo ay may direksyon—para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan,” he said.

Muntinlupa’s fiscal standing reflects its disciplined management of resources, enabling the city to deliver essential services efficiently while avoiding unnecessary spending. The recognition also underscores how leadership and sound financial planning contribute to long-term urban development.
