Arcane Overdrive demo now live on Steam Next Fest for early access preview

Independent developer Nords Games has unveiled the playable demo of their upcoming roguelike-survivor hybrid, Arcane Overdrive, now available on Steam Next Fest. Players can experiment with monster-powered combat vehicles while facing relentless waves of enemies in a medieval fantasy world filled with danger and magic.

Arcane Overdrive combines creative vehicle building with fast-paced combat. Players assemble their own war machines by mixing modular parts and monsters, shaping stats, abilities, weapon slots, and movement. Each unique build opens new strategies as players battle orcs, skeletons, and formidable bosses, blending elemental spells and weapons for maximum effect.

Build, battle, and adapt in a magical medieval world

The game challenges players to balance creativity with strategy. Experimenting with different combinations of parts and elemental powers creates distinct playstyles. Collecting weapons and spells and stacking duplicates allows for more powerful attacks, encouraging players to adapt on the fly during intense waves of combat.

A skill progression system and expansive skill tree add depth, giving players opportunities to unlock upgrades and new mechanics. Alongside combat, the world rewards exploration with hidden surprises, magic, and monsters around every corner.

Early access demo and community engagement

The demo will be available exclusively until October 20 during Steam Next Fest, offering an early glimpse at Arcane Overdrive’s mix of fantasy, roguelike challenges, and custom vehicle combat. Nords Games encourages players to share feedback during the festival as the title moves toward early access in the coming months.

Game designer Can Sancaktaroğlu emphasized, “We are continuously refining Arcane Overdrive to deliver the best possible experience. Players can create their own vehicles and experience something truly unique during the demo.”
