Datavault AI and Korea Aerospace University sign agreement in Goyang.

Datavault AI Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Aerospace University to launch digital credentialing programs and joint research initiatives in aviation and aerospace technology. The agreement was signed Sept. 29 at KAU’s campus in Goyang, South Korea.

The partnership will deploy Datavault AI’s VerifyU platform for pilot identity verification and simulation-based aptitude assessments, marking Korea’s first digital aviation credentialing system. The initiative comes as global private aviation demand rose 3.8% year-over-year in 2025, with North America leading at 5.2%.

Research and technology focus

Datavault AI and KAU also plan to collaborate on quantum supercomputing and digital twin technology for aerospace design and management. Academic events are expected to promote data-driven collaboration with industry leaders.

KAU, founded in 1952, is recognized for aerospace engineering and pilot training. University president Hee-Young Hurr said the partnership would prepare students for “aerospace’s data-driven future.”

Industry implications

The deal follows Datavault AI’s $150 million investment to build a supercomputer for digital twin and real-world asset markets, in partnership with IBM WatsonX. Company CEO Nathaniel Bradley said the KAU contract positions the firm to expand aviation credentialing worldwide.

Darrell Jung, Datavault AI’s Korea country manager, described the collaboration as a step toward “accelerating Korea’s leadership in verified aviation credentials.”
