Cavite took center stage during the Biyaheng South Experiential Tour 2025, a two-day showcase of the province’s history, culture, food and leisure spots made more accessible by Metro Pacific Tollway Corporation’s (MPTC) expressways.

The event, held in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A and the Cavite Tourism Office, brought influencers and media participants — dubbed Ka-Biyaheros — to key sites aboard Chery Tiggo vehicles. Stops included museums, local dining spots and leisure parks, with partners such as Quest Hotels, Profriends, Coffee Builders and Sky Ranch Tagaytay providing added support.

Cultural highlights and Tagaytay leisure

The tour opened with breakfast at Coffee Builders in Silang before a stop at the upcoming CALAX Governor’s Drive Interchange in General Trias, set to open in 2025. Participants then visited the Geronimo Berenguer De Los Reyes Museum, which features exhibits on the Cavite Mutiny of 1872 and replicas of historic aircraft.

In Tagaytay, the group enjoyed lunch at Cabezera Ridge View Restaurant overlooking Taal Lake, followed by rides at Sky Ranch. Dinner at Nabe Hotspot capped the evening before check-in at Quest Hotel, where participants sampled pastries at Baker J Café and relaxed at the outdoor pool.

Exploring natural and community attractions

Day two began at People’s Park in the Sky, where a 360-degree view of Taal Lake and Laguna de Bay awaited. Lunch at Siglo Modern Filipino highlighted creative takes on local cuisine.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Lancaster community in General Trias, where participants toured landmarks such as St. Edward School, The Square commercial hub and the Parish of the Holy Family.

MPT South vice president for communication and stakeholder management Arlette V. Capistrano said the initiative reflected the group’s commitment to tourism. “This tour is a celebration of what Cavite has to offer. Through the Biyaheng South Experiential Tour, we are not only showcasing Cavite’s diverse attractions but also reinforcing our commitment to support local tourism and communities,” she said.
