Canon Central & North Africa (CCNA) brought together ten creators from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania to participate in Canon Vision 2025 in Amsterdam. They joined more than 100 peers from Europe and the Middle East, spanning genres from tech and fashion to wildlife and wedding photography. The program provided hands-on production opportunities, networking, and collaborative learning, reflecting Canon’s commitment to empowering storytellers.

Canon Vision 2025, hosted by Canon Europe, marked a groundbreaking effort to connect with the global creator community. With short-form content now driving social media engagement, Canon positioned itself as a motion-first brand by placing influencers at the heart of its strategy.

Canon showcases new vlogging tools under #Unfreeze theme

Held under the theme #Unfreeze, the event urged creators to break conventions and explore new forms of motion. Attendees tested Canon’s latest vlogging cameras — the compact PowerShot V1 and the more advanced EOS R50V with 4K video and interchangeable lenses. The program also featured workshops and Shooting Like a Pro sessions, combining advanced storytelling with industry trends, plus collaborative challenges, networking events, and immersive museum visits.

Industry leadership reinforced at IBC 2025

Participants also attended IBC 2025, where Canon unveiled the EOS C50 hybrid Cinema EOS camera, built for professional videographers and agile productions. Canon Central & North Africa’s B2C Business Unit Director Rashad Ghani said the event embodied Canon’s ICE strategy — Innovation, Customer, and Employee Experience — by giving creators meaningful platforms and tools to inspire their audiences.

For CCNA, engaging with creators remains central to its vision, from campaigns like “#CelebrateAfrica” to initiatives such as Vision 2025. The Amsterdam gathering marks another milestone in Canon’s mission to support the next generation of storytellers with the technology and opportunities to expand their craft.
