West Africa’s accelerating energy expansion will take center stage at the MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025 conference, set for December 9–10 in Dakar, Senegal. The high-level gathering will bring together governments, investors, and private sector leaders under the theme Energy, Petroleum and Mining in Africa: Synergy for Inclusive Economic Development.

Covering Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea-Conakry, the event will spotlight opportunities in oil, gas, mining, and renewable energy—facilitating partnerships, deal-making, and technical dialogue.

AIA to host pre-conference workshop

Strategic advisory firm Africa International Advisors (AIA) will lead a dedicated workshop on December 8, focusing on project preparation and financing. Represented by Partner Henry Gilfillan and Associate Partner Lwandle Fakazi, AIA will draw on its experience in renewable power, gas-to-power, transmission infrastructure, and public sector reform.

Conjuncta GmbH CEO Stefan Liebing will speak on hydrogen’s role in Africa’s industrialization during the session From Vision to Reality: How Will Hydrogen Shape Africa’s Landscape. Conjuncta is developing a $34 billion green hydrogen project in Mauritania with Infinity Power and Masdar, targeting 10 GW of electrolyzer capacity.
