ohashiTrio Releases New Album “GOLD HOUR” After 3 Years

Renowned Japanese musician ohashiTrio has released his highly anticipated new album, GOLD HOUR, on November 13, 2024. This marks his first original full-length album in nearly three years, following his 2023 EP Karatachi no Yume and the collaborative project Trio & Charm with Japanese band THE CHARM PARK.

The 10-track album GOLD HOUR features a mix of new songs, as well as beloved classics and unique self-covers. Notable tracks include reimagined versions of Karatachi no Yume—the opening theme for Season 2 of the hit drama What Did You Eat Yesterday?—and Chiisana uta, a song originally produced by ohashiTrio for Japanese singer lily. The album also includes four tracks from his October 2023 digital EP, along with fresh, unreleased songs. With each piece, GOLD HOUR highlights ohashiTrio’s signature style of merging various genres into a cohesive pop sound, offering fans a taste of his meticulous artistry and unique sound.

For fans eager to experience ohashiTrio’s live energy, the first-pressing limited edition of GOLD HOUR includes live footage from his 15th anniversary concert, TRIO ERA 2, held at the Tokyo International Forum in 2022, where he performed alongside lily (Yuriko Ishida).

Debuting in 2007, ohashiTrio is known not only as a musician but also as a talented composer for Japanese television, film, and advertising. His works include the 2009 film April Bride, 2010’s The Lightning Tree, and Policeman and Me in 2017. Additionally, he has composed music for NHK’s children’s series Nyanbo! and TBS Television’s The World Heritage.
