Japanese Singer-Songwriter Hiraidai releases sixth EP in ‘Lucky Bag’ Series: Boku ga Zutto Hoshikatta Mono
Since June, Japanese singer-songwriter Hiraidai has been releasing a monthly series of EPs titled Lucky Bag, each filled with a special mix of new songs, handpicked favorites from past releases, and even home demos recorded in one take. Now, Hiraidai presents the sixth installment, Boku ga Zutto Hoshikatta Mono (translated as “The Thing I’ve Always Wanted”), which released digitally on Wednesday, October 30. This EP encapsulates the October theme: songs that make you feel lovely in the everyday moment of you.
This six-track collection, carefully curated by Hiraidai, includes the title track Boku ga Zutto Hoshikatta Mono, a mid-tempo ballad celebrating the extraordinary beauty hidden in everyday moments. Another highlight, LOVE, SO GOOD., centers on family and warmth, while Moshimo Boku ga Inakutemo is an emotional tribute to “future family.” This track gained significant attention for its heartfelt flipbook animation, created by the artist Tekken.
The EP also offers a nostalgic home-recorded version of Remember The Days Kimi to no Ashiato, capturing the unpolished, intimate quality that fans have come to love in Hiraidai’s work.
