Serum Playtest announced; Player Search On
Developer Game Island and publisher Toplitz Productions are pleased to announce the forthcoming playtest for their exciting first person survival adventure game SERUM.
The playtest will be accessible via Steam from April 24th, commencing at 1pm CEST and will last for 7 days, giving players another great opportunity to play the game and leave their feedback as it gears up for launch on Steam early access for PC.
Fresh from its Steam Next Fest success as one of the top 50 playable demos, the new playtest presents players with more to experience in terms of abilities, weapons and crafting, and also gives players the opportunity to explore both the forest biome and swamp biome with no playtime restrictions.
Players can register for the possibility of gaining access to the playtest via the game’s official steam page. The playtest will allow gamers to explore the dark and dangerous world of Serum and unravel the secrets of the Blight, a global pandemic that has infected the modern world. With the ever-looming pressure of time, adventurers will need to work fast in order to survive. This is an environment where every second counts, finding that all-important dose of serum is the difference between life and an untimely death.
The Infected denizens of SERUM’s ruined world will undoubtedly prove to be challenging adversaries. These mutated abominations are nature’s altered predators, including wolves, rats, arthropods and boars, radically changed and made overly aggressive by failed Serum experiments.
Developer Game Island and publisher Toplitz Productions are utilizing the playtest as an opportunity for fans and players to jump into the dark and exciting world of SERUM to help shape the game’s future direction and enhance the overall gameplay experience prior to the game’s early access launch on PC.
Further details on SERUM can be found on the game’s official Steam page, its Discord page, and through its regular devlogs and X (Twitter) diary, revealing more about the world, crafting, and macabre dangers that players will encounter.
