Gareth Bale out for two months with muscle injury
MADRID – Gareth Bale will be out of action for around eight weeks until mid-November after suffering a torn right hamstring.
Although Real Madrid have yet to officially report Bale’s injury, sports paper Diario AS and radio station Cadena Cope both quoted club sources to confirm the extent of the Welshman’s injury.
Bale suffered the injury in a training session on Sept. 11 ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga game at home to host Celta Vigo and missed that game and the midweek Champions League visit to play Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old, who has suffered over 20 injuries since joining Real Madrid, will now miss at least 14 games with the club, including the ‘Clasico’ against FC Barcelona.
He will also be unavailable for Wales in their next two qualifying matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar. (Xinhua)
