BTS Sings ‘Baby Shark’ In ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Never-Before-Seen Clips
International boy band and Korean sensation BTS has performed the earworm children’s song “Baby Shark” when they were on the popular late night segment “Carpool Karaoke.” James Corden released the never-before-seen clip of the pop band singing the song on his YouTube page.
Corden said that he decided to release the clip because BTS recently did a great thing and he would like to acknowledge it. The group donated $1 million to the Black Lives Matter movement to show their support for their fans in America, where there have recently been state-wide protests against police brutality and racism.
In response to the BTS, its fans, also known as the BTS Army, raised the same amount to match the donation for Black Lives Matter. The army was able to raise the money on social media in under 24 hours, using the hashtag #MatchTheMillion.
“To say thank you, James shares a new clip from his Carpool Karaoke with BTS, in which the group makes an insane “Baby Shark”-“Shots” mashup,” the “Late Late Show with James Corden” posted on its YouTube account.
“It’s clear to me that the only troops we should be sending in right now are the BTS Army,” Corden said when he introduced the video.
In the clip below, Corden asked the BTS if they ever sing rounds when they are on the plane or a bus on tour. They said yes and added that they do actually sing “Baby Shark,” the catchy song that became a hit for kids.
“That’s a pretty good remix of ‘Baby Shark,’ guys!” the host said at the end of this clip.
Corden had the BTS as guests on his late night show before the lockdown orders in March. BTS also sang hits from Bruno Mars and Cardi B as they drove around the streets of Los Angeles.
