Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are no longer in the hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. Idris Elba, on the other hand, announces that he has Covid-19 and is in isolation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hanks and Wilson have also been self-isolating in their rented home in Australia, where Hanks was supposed to film a new movie. The couple announced on Wednesday, March 11, that they had fever and body aches, and thus proceeded to test for the virus.

Hanks flew to Australia in February to begin work on the Elvis Presley biopic with director Baz Luhrmann. The studio has shut down production following the Hollywood couple’s diagnosis.

Australian health officials said that Hanks and Wilson may have contracted Covid-19 while still in the U.S. or on their way Down Under.

Meanwhile, Elba said that he has no symptoms of the virus. However, as his test came out positive, he decided to go into self-isolation. The Thor actor said he got the test after learning he was exposed to someone who was also positive.

“Look, this is serious,” the British actor said. “Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands.”

“We live in a divided world right now – we can all feel it,” he added. “It’s been bulls–t. But now is the time for solidarity, now is the time for thinking about each other.”

In Australia, there are 375 cases with 5 deaths and 27 recovered as of press time. The U.K. has 1543 cases with 55 deaths and 52 recoveries.

Countries around the world have been shutting down establishments and schools, closing borders, and advising the public to practice social distancing. In Hollywood, majority of the productions have also shut down for movies and films. Studios with live audience have also closed and suspended their daily taping.
