Altas tracksters bags Crown in Unigames 2018
14-members of Perpetual Altas track and field team collected 10 gold Medals, 6 Silver medals and three Bronze medals to clinched the 23rd Philippine University Games 2018 here.
Tracksters of head coach Trece Academia, assistant coach Larick Panes and Philip Silloco impressed on the showing of the team and the determination to win here.
Bryan Niño Dumaguit won Golds in 110m hurdle and 4×100 relay, Jansen Jim Montecina got the gold in triple jump, Edwin Bajo, Golds in 800m and 4×400 relay, Silver-400m, classical relay, Jerick ‘Toto’ Arzaga bags Golds in 4×100 relay, 4×400 relay, Silver in classical relay, Bronze in 400m, Sherwin Barsalote, Silver in javelin throw.
Michael Batuto collects Gold in 4×400 relay and Silvers in 1500m, 3000m, Prince John de los Santos, Bronze in long jump, John Michael Urgel, Bronze in long distance 5000m,
Thrower Ian Ofalia, Gold in javelin throw, Jerwin Calupit, Bronze in discus throw, Alfredo Dadivas clinched Golds in 400m hurdle, 4×100 relay, 4×400 relay and silver in 100m and classical relay, while Warren Villarosa tallied Golds in 100m, 200m, long jump and 4×100 relay, Silver in classical relay.
“Magandang exposure po ito ng team for the forthcoming NCAA season 94 track and field on March 2019. Ang ganda po ng pinakita ng mga players ko, despite na first time po naming mag-entry dito sa Unigames.” Coach Trece Academia said.
“Maraming maraming salamat po kay Sir Tony Tamayo, Sir Anthony Tamayo and the rest of Tamayo family and also to the Altas Sports Department sa walang sawang suporta po sa team.” he added.
