“Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick, who played bad boy Chuck Bass on the show, recently discussed the series with Radio Times. Westwick was always vocal about not being interested with a reboot before, but this time he said he might consider this if he’s paid a “gazillion dollars.”
Fans want Netflix to do the reboot in the same way the streaming site did this for “Gossip Girl.” But Westwick got serious in the interview and said it doesn’t seem like a good time to have a revival.
“It’s such a strange thing to think about,” the actor said. “It feels like we only just finished! And I haven’t done enough in between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it. And I did so much with that character – it’s played out, man. It’s done.”
Westwick is currently busy with other commitments. He’s got a gangster series on Crackle called “Snatch” with “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint. Westwick is also on “White Gold,” a British sitcom that started its run last May 24 in the U.K., where Westwick is from. It’s unclear if U.S. audiences would be able to watch the show.
Of his new show, the heartthrob said “I’m really happy with it, I’ve seen the whole of the first series and it packs a punch, so I think people will like it,” he said as per Metro. Below is the synopsis for “White Gold” from IMBb.
