Basketball Champions League news: Theodore named MVP of the Season
Jordan Theodore, the player of Banvit, has been awarded the title of Most Valuable Player of the 2016-17 Basketball Champions League Season.
The 27-year-old American, who grew up in Englewood, New Jersey, has had a tremendous season with Banvit. Best passer of the Basketball Champions League competition (with an average of 7.7 assists per game), he’s also the 4th best scorer (16.2 points per game). Theodore has been elected among the Team of the Week of the second gameday of the Regular Season, and later named MVP of the Quarter-Finals.
The former player of Antalya and Fraport Skyliners has collected a few trophies lately, winning the 2015-16 FIBA Europe Cup with the German club, and the Turkish Cup last February. At this occasion, Theodore received the Turkish Basketball Cup Final MVP award.
The announcement of the award was made on Saturday during the Basketball Champions League Final Four Gala Dinner. The award will be given to Theodore later this season in Bandirma, in front of his home crowd.
