After much speculations following its abrupt cancellation, “Constantine” is coming back to television with Matt Ryan. The CW Seed has confirmed that the DC series is going to get a second life on the streaming platform with its original star.

The catch, however, is that “Constantine” on The CW Seed will be an animated program. Matt Ryan will be back to provide the voice for the titular character.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Constantine” will be divided into at least five or six 10-minute animations for the streaming platform. It’s only live season, with 13 episodes, are still accessible on The CW Seed.

Fans of the comic book character have long been asking for “Constantine” after its unceremonious cancellation two years ago on NBC. The network decided not to push through with the show following failing ratings, but fans have petitioned to bring it back since.

Fans loved Matt Ryan’s portrayal as Constantine and he has reprised the roles in special guest appearances on other DC productions on TV like “Arrow” and “Justice League” animated series. “Constantine” is best on the “Hellblazer” comic series from DC Comics.
