‘BAYANI BA ‘TO?’
300 youth leaders from all over Luzon gather today, September 17, 2pm to 7pm to address the pressing question of our times in a forum dubbed as “Bayani Ba ‘To? Heroism X Pagibig” at the Gateway Cineplex, Cubao, Quezon City.
The Youth Leaders Forum is organized by DAKILA, an artist collective building a movement of heroism towards social transformation, in partnership with T-REX Entertainment Production.
Utilizing the power of cinema in influencing culture and generating meaningful impact, the forum brings a preview of the new historical film, Hermano Puli, and a lecture on heroism with historian, Prof. Xiao Chua to give the audience valuable insights on Philippine history and heroism.
The forum also features guests from the cast/production team behind the film Hermano Puli and its maverick director, Gil Portes. To open the forum, DAKILA President and multi-awarded writer, journalist and pop culture icon, Lourd de Veyra shall talk about “What Makes a Hero?”.
TV Personality Jun Sabayton shall also discuss “The Power of Film in Engaging Millennials”. There shall be special performances by spoken word artist, Juan Miguel Severo and musicians, Nityalila and Bayang Barrios.
