The show did have a movie version in 2002, but this time, the planned movie will be taking two hours of airtime on the TV network. It is expected to air in 2017 and might finally answer the question to what really happened to Arnold’s parents.

Planning the “Hey, Arnold!” movie was first announced in 2015. It comes just as the network is celebrating a milestone 25 years in creating original animations.
