Motorola adds three new mid-range variants under the Moto G4 class
Motorola has widened the possibilities for folks who are looking for a reasonable device to get in the market by offering the Moto G4 in three variants. The latest Motorola handsets are now available in Brazil with other select regions to follow.
Motorola has been catering to three phone classes with the Moto G caught in the middle of it all. The Moto G variant has always been known to be an affordable phone in the mid-range class and now folks will be able to choose the one based on features and specifications.
The three new variants are the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and the Moto G4 Play, each differentiated by the specifications they have to offer as detailed on the Official Motorola Blog.
The Moto G4
The default model of the lot, the Moto G4 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD screen display (1920×1080) which will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. It will be further supported by 2GB of RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD), a 13 MP main camera, a front-facing 5MP selfie camera and backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Moto G4 Play
This is the variant considered to be the lowest of the class. The Moto G4 Play offers a 5-inch full HD screen display (1280×720 resolution), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor (1.2 GHz)2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (also expandable via microSD up to 128 GB), an 8 MP main camera and a 5 MP front-facing shooter. It will rely on a 2,800 mAh battery.
The Moto G4 Plus
The prime of the lot is the Moto G4 Plus. It offers a 5.5-inch full HD screen display (1920×1080 resolution), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octacore (1.5 GHz), 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage (expandable through microSD), a 16 MP main camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It will bank on a 3,000 mAh battery for power storage.
All variants will be available in black and white color variants though it should be noted that the G4 and G4 Plus will be the only ones that offers swappable back covers. The G4 and G4 Plus are now available in Brazil while India only has the G4 Plus to offer.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Moto G4 costs about $245 while the Moto G4 Plus runs for about $288 once they debut in the United Kingdom. The Moto G4 Play’s price has yet to be revealed though all that may crop up this Summer per Mashable.
