Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes Welcome Second Daughter Amada Lee

It was only a few weeks ago when reps of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes announced that they were expecting a second child. The actress has actually given birth on Friday, April 29, and they named their new daughter Amada Lee.

Amanda is about 20 months younger than Esmeralda Amada, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes’ first-born child. The name Amada is after Eva Mendez’s grandmother. E! Online reports that the name means “beloved, adored and dear” in Spanish, which is the actress’ heritage.

TMZ reports that the pregnancy was the recent best-kept secret in Hollywood despite the baby being born at Providence St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. The actress had been seen in public during her pregnancy, but she managed to hide her baby belly.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendez also kept their first baby a secret. “Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda. I think it’s unfair but that’s our reality,” Eva said after the first birth, per Sydney Morning Herald. “So Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could. And my pregnancy was the first opportunity to give her that,” she added.
